Who needs an Alarm Permit?

Any active residential or commercial alarm system in the City of San Clemente must have a permit (Section 8.56.160)

How much does it cost?
|
|
Both residential and commercial alarm permits are $40 per year. Optional monitoring service by the City of San Clemente is $240 per year.

Excessive False Alarms Fee
|
Excessive false alarms are more than 2 false alarms per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30).
Police Department False Alarms = $85.00
Fire Department False Alarms = $300.00

What if I have changes?
|
|
All changes regarding Permit information or cancellation of an Alarm Permits must be submitted in writing to San Clemente Police Services at 100 Ave Presidio, San Clemente, CA 92672 within 10 days of such change.
